These festive days became a special time of thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness, mercy, and blessings that have accompanied the church throughout all the years of its existence.
On Saturday, May 16, a special gathering took place with the participation of the local church ministers and a guest speaker — Pastor Alexey Kolomiytsev. It was a time to reflect on the blessed beginnings of the church’s journey and to remember how the Lord has faithfully led His church through all these years.
Fifteen years is more than just a milestone — it is fifteen years of God’s faithfulness. Throughout this time, the Lord has led the church through different seasons and circumstances. Some stood at the very foundation of the church, others joined later, and some have only recently become part of this spiritual family. Yet all are united by God’s grace and the calling to be part of the local church.
In a conversational format with questions and answers, participants recalled the church’s first steps, the challenges and joys, and the special moments in which God’s hand was clearly evident. It was not merely a reflection on history but a sincere time of gratitude to God for His work among His people. Just as Moses called the people of Israel to remember the entire journey by which the Lord had led them, the church, looking back, was able to see God’s grace in the past and confidently anticipate His blessings for the future.
On Sunday, May 17, a festive worship service was held with many guests in attendance. The central event of the service was the ordination of Denis Konesnikov to the office of deacon.
The church gave thanks to the Lord for raising up new servants, for the opportunity to continue laboring for the building up of the Body of Christ, and for carrying the Gospel to those around them.
The celebration of the church’s 15th anniversary became a reminder to the entire congregation that the history of the local church is, above all, the story of God’s grace, His guidance, and His faithfulness to His people. All glory for the years gone by belongs to the Lord, who builds His Church and leads it toward the fulfillment of His perfect purposes.
