Many parents and Sunday school teachers can confirm the accuracy of the observations made by the author of the article “A Youth Pastor Reveals a Shocking Truth: Why 73% of Church Kids Leave the Faith (and How to Stop It),” published on the Christian Parents of America website.
Perhaps the statistics in Slavic churches are somewhat different, but many of our children, even after receiving Christian upbringing at home, attending Sunday school, and participating in youth fellowship, often do not have a solid foundation in faith. They may live double lives and, in essence, remain unbelievers.
If what is discussed in the article interests you and you would like to apply something in your ministry or in raising your own children, here is the link to purchase the book mentioned in the article: Bible Study Workbook for Kids – MiniFaith 52 Weeks Workbook.
One sister, who has worked with children for many years, continues serving with youth, and has raised four children of her own, purchased one of the children’s systematic theology books referenced in the article. She liked the book, although some parts seemed a bit simplified.
The publisher is an organization called Laborrea, and their website also offers other helpful books:
