Over the course of many years in the Association, the video ministry was led by Aleksandr Vivsik who is a member at the First Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church of Sacramento. He has been a very sacrificial and dedicated person. Through the Association’s video channel on YouTube, he was sharing about the various ministries of the Association, about the Association’s conventions, and various events. However, at the end of 2022, due to his health issues, he had to pass this ministry on to another person.
In December, there was a nomination and confirmation of a member of Grace Avenue Bible Church, Svyatoslav Iotko as the video ministry leader. Svyatoslav was born and raised in Dnepr, Ukraine, in a Christian family. From the young years, he was showing interest in the media ministry, and was helping his father in recording church events. He was curious about the audio and video editing, was involved in music, and sang in a choir. Whenever possible, he tried to attend various conferences and seminars on media development. In his student years, he had the opportunity to take a practical training course “Communication and Video Production” at the Christian television studio Crossroads, Canada, Ontario. When he returned to Ukraine, he worked as a video editor at the city’s TV station while investing into the media ministry at the church as well.
Together with his father Viktor Iotko, he was an active member of the filming and directing group of the Christian youth program "Alpha and Omega", which had no analogues in the post-Soviet media space, and for more than 20 years regularly, with a frequency of once a month, appeared on the regional secular TV channel.
Svyatoslav was also one of the main developers of the Internet ministry of the Central Baptist Church of Dnepropetrovsk and the “Alpha and Omega” youth center; he helped launch online broadcasts for many churches in the city. He also was the main operator and editor of the “Beautiful People” motivational YouTube channel led by his wife Svetlana.
In May, 2021, his family moved to the United States. He continues to do what he loves on a professional level, while working on a team at Highlands Community Charter School in Sacramento.
We wish Svyatoslav success, and blessings in his ministry at the Association.
