On July 9, after the morning service, the Cornerstone Church had a special picnic for immigrants. Over 350 people were able to attend, and it was a great success! There was a lot of food, games, fellowship, and make new friends.
The church gathered in a cozy park in Sacramento, and it was a great opportunity for the church attendees to invite their neighbors, colleagues, classmates, and all others to spend some time in an informal setting in order to get to know the church. The volunteers prepared games, flash mob, and created a music atmosphere. The speaker shared about his encounter with Pastor Oleg Kostyuk and about blessings which he experienced thanks to the attention, warmth, and care of the church.
The children also had a good time on the jump house, animators held an exciting program, made face painting for children, and the girls were even to get their hair done. For lunch, everyone was treated to some barbecue and other treats, and of course – oliviye which is the favorite dish of every immigrant! There were also some fruit and sweets for dessert.
The picnic was a great success! Many immigrants were able to get in contact with the church for the first time, and some were surprised at how they were able to experience the warmth and comfort of being in the company of Christians.
Please continue to pray for the ministry of The Cornerstone Church.
