On Sunday, June 2, 2024, members of Grace Avenue Bible Church, Sacramento, gathered 2 hours earlier than usual to participate in the baptism and support it with their presence, singing and prayers. The service took place on the lawn in the church yard. Ten people were baptized.
The service, led by Pastor Vladimir Troshin, began with prayer and songs of worship. Each participant, dressed in white robes, took turns entering a special baptismal pool for immersion, symbolizing purification and a promise to serve Christ with a good conscience.
Witnesses watched with joy and support as each person emerged from the water, tears of gratitude and smiles lighting up their faces. The unity of the church was felt at this blessed moment. This time, mostly young people and recently arrived immigrants were baptized.
Pastor Vladimir Troshin emphasized the importance of water baptism as a powerful act of faith and obedience, calling on those baptized to continue their spiritual path boldly and serve Christ with all their hearts.
After the baptism ceremony, the church gathered in the main hall for worship. For the first time in their lives, those who were baptized took communion together with their brothers and sisters in the faith.
This year's water baptism was a highlight that highlighted the importance of spiritual renewal and the importance of publicly proclaiming one's faith. We thank the Lord for His mercy to us!
