The first session of the Children's Camp "The Dream”, organized by the Bryte Church for immigrants living in the USA for no more than 2 years, took place from June 2 to 8, in Grass Valley, California. The camp was organized so that newly arrived immigrants had the opportunity to send their children to a summer children's camp. Camp "The Dream" is intended for all Russian-speaking immigrant children from 8 to 11 years old. Most of the children in the camp were from non-religious families. 75 children attended the camp. The second session of the Camp "The Dream" will take place from July 7th to 13th and will be organized by the Second Slavic Baptist Church of Sacramento.
Summer at the children's camp turned into a real outdoor adventure. In the morning, waking up to the chirping of birds, the children were looking forward to new opportunities and fun activities. From the very beginning, they were surrounded by the vibrant colors of nature: green hills, a shimmering lake and a picturesque forest.
Every day was full of events and discoveries. Swimming in the lake became an ideal way to escape the summer heat. The children had fun, splashed and played in water games, refreshing themselves and enjoying the surface of the water. Rafting along the water channel brought a lot of joy to the children and their mentors.
One of the most exciting moments was the construction of the house. The children, united in teams, worked enthusiastically to build a new house, which symbolized the building of life with Christ. Everyone tried to bring something special to the project, and the result of their work was not only practical, but also full of joy and satisfaction.
Evenings at the camp were spent under the starry sky. The children happily shared their impressions of the day, learned to pray and created a warm atmosphere of friendship.
During the week of camp, the children were able to learn about God, learn Christian songs, poems, and learn to pray to God. So the children's camp became not only a time of active recreation, but also a real adventure that every participant will remember for a lifetime.
