Over the course of half a year, Bryte Church had an intense preparation of the youth for baptism. The training at this church is fairly rigorous and is worth of sharing with others.
In the preparation for baptism, the baptismal candidates learned about the history of the church. The leaders of various church ministries shared about their ministries and invited them to choose where the new members could utilize their gifts. A special meeting was dedicated to share what goes on in the upkeep of the building, parking lots, and more, and what are the rules of the church in these areas.
Every baptismal candidate was also assigned specific minister who they spent half a year with and learned the foundations of the Christian faith going over the Won by One Bible Study Course. At the end of all the programs of instruction and training, the church pastors visited the baptismal candidates’ homes. After that, there was a meeting which decided whether they should be allowed to be baptized or not.
Eleven people completed the training and were allowed to be baptized. On June 2 on Sacramento River, in the presence of many people, they were baptized and became church members. There was a church service at the river which also deserves a special attention since everything was so well-organized. However, it would be better to view it live than to read someone retelling it. Indeed, you can view it since there was a live broadcast from the baptism location and is uploaded to the church’ YouTube channel.
It is hard to express the celebratory mood of the baptism service. The beauty of the surrounding nature, the singing of the choir, playing of the wind orchestra, and the young men and women who were bowed down under an open sky who dedicate themselves to the Lord… Praise God for these new souls, and that He gives such moments of heaven’s joys to His church and its members.
The next day these new church members had their very first Communion, the first participation in the church sacrament… Godspeed, dear friends! May this be a good spiritual journey for the newly baptized brothers and sisters!
