Dear brothers and sisters! I greet you on this bright and joyful celebration of the birth of Christ!
In this season, may our hearts be filled with joy, peace, and love! May the heavenly music fill our hearts!
It is hard for us to imagine how the worship of angels sounded like in the fields of Bethlehem, but it’s content is well-known to us “…glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased!” (Luke 2:14). The heavenly realm is full of constant worship of God. Glorification and worship of angels accompanied by heavenly music is directed towards Him Who is worthy to accept “glory, honor, and power” (Rev. 4:11) .
Peace on earth is the “Shalom” that is expressed in genuine, righteous relationship with God, which is possible only through the acceptance of Jesus Christ who came in the flesh. He reconciled the world to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation!
God manifests His grace towards humanity! His mercy and love towards us expressed not only in His intentions but in action, too. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
To understand the message of the angels’ praise is to understand the meaning of Christmas. Christmas is a celebration of God’s love towards us.
May we, along with the shepherds, bring the good news of the birth of the Savior to the people who are in need of salvation!
