Good News Church is experiencing one of its’ busiest summers. We would love to share some of the blessings that we have experienced with our brothers and sisters from the PCSBA.
On June 24th – 27th, our NextGen Teens group went on a road trip to California. It was a great bonding experience for them. They were able to have much fellowship, and to expand their understanding of the Lord and the world around them through travel. During their trip, they got to see the Redwoods, they visited Six Flags, they got to swim at lake Tahoe, and they were able to visit Second Slavic Baptist Church for one night. We would like to express our gratitude to the brothers and sisters that served our teens and the ministry leaders by providing them with a place to stay, and coming early in the morning to fix them breakfast. The teens, ministry leaders, and parents were all very happy with the result of the trip. Praise God!
On June 29th, we came together to glorify God in a Worship Night. Brothers and sisters from at least 6 different churches joined us as we praised the Lord, prayed for the people, the church and our country, and spent time connecting with one another in fellowship. God was glorified, and our hearts were lifted up together in the praise of His name. United as one church with one purpose: the glory of God. Praise be to Him.
On July 1st, we said goodbye to the Terekhin family as they left to begin their ministry in Spain. They arrived in Valencia, safe and sound. Now, they are in the process of finding a permanent living space. This is a major prayer need right now. The plans that were made for an apartment have fallen through, as a potential landlord went back on a deal. Please pray for them, that the Lord will bless them with swift resolutions of all issues, and will allow them to begin focusing on ministry. We thank all of our brothers and sisters in the PCSBA for their support of this family!
On July 3rd – 7th, Pastor Vasiliy and a small team were able to come to the Second Slavic Youth Camp – Camp Faithful. Pastor Vasiliy was the speaker for this camp, and we are thankful that we were able to serve our friends by allowing our pastor to go and use his talents for God’s glory. The team that went was very glad to be able to continue building our relationships, and are looking forward to more events together!
Please keep Good News Church in your prayers as we prepare for our Family Camp (July 24th – 28th), Vacation Bible School (August 1st – 2nd), Church Picnic (August 3rd), and Youth Camp (Auagust 25th – 29th). Please pray for our lead pastor – Vasiliy Stupin, as well as our leadership team (the elders, deacons, and ministry leaders of our church). Please pray for our youth, teens, and children’s ministries; and, for all of our other ministries. For God to be glorified in everything that we do. We are very thankful for our dear brothers and sisters in the PCSBA. God bless!
