The organizers of the “Jesus on Trial” conference announced two more new speakers to participate.
Sean McDowell, the son of a prominent speaker and Christian writer, John MacDowell, author of many apologetic books, including The Not Just a Carpenter, will be one of the speakers at the “Jesus on Trial” conference in May 2020. Sean himself is also a very famous speaker among university students. The announcement of the speaker can be read here, and Sean’s biography can be found on his website.
Gary Habermas is a world famous historian and expert on the resurrection of Christ. As a young man in college, he seriously began to doubt Christianity. He decided to do his doctoral dissertation on the resurrection of Jesus - a fundamental event of the Christian faith.
Since he studied at a secular university, he was allowed this topic, but was told that he could use the New Testament only if he would use it without mixing faith. Despite this limitation, he successfully obtained a doctorate in the history and philosophy of religion.
How did he do that? Dr. Habermas will share this and many other of his research at the “Jesus on Trial” conference. You can read the announcement of him as the speaker of the conference here, and his brief biography and a description of his work are given on the Theopedia website - click here.
