Three months of quarantine have passed so quickly. Slowly, doors of the churches are beginning to open up…however, this process is not that simple and very lengthy. Larges churches of the Association have significantly more difficulties because the demands of the governing authorities make the large gatherings impossible at the church buildings. The “smaller” churches that have less church members are able to go through this time much better.
On June 14, I visited three of such churches in the Sacramento and Rancho Cordova areas: The Living Stones Church, Light of Salvation Church, and Bethel Church. Practically almost everyone who wanted to visit the church services at these churches were able to be at the church. Instead of the choirs, there were “choir groups”, but in general, the church service was not much different from the one we are all used to. I did not see anyone in masks.
It was evident that the people missed the live fellowship and were listening to the Word of God with a renewed awe treasuring this privilege to be one more time at the House of God. During this time, there was a live broadcast over the internet which has been “the new standard” of church services. Those who for some reason remained home were able to watch the services this way.
