On October 31, the First Slavic Baptist Church of Sacramento hosted an annual meeting of the Association’s ministers. The meeting was attended by the church pastors, the Association’s ministry leaders, as well as the members of the Executive Committee of the Association.
During the meeting, the ministry leaders gave their annual reports which shed light to the scope of the ministry done in this period. Despite the limitations due to COVID-19, many ministers pointed to the positive results of their work. However, there were some ministries that were not able to function in the full capacity due to certain limitations, and that is why they had certain setbacks. The Pacific Coast Association is unique in the scope of ministries done by the number of departments, which are responsible for these ministries. At the present time, the Association has 16 ministry departments. Thank God for every leader, as well as assistants who are engaged in mutual service to the Lord. Without the team, the amount of work that has been done would not have been possible. Praise God!
The President, Vice-President, and the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Association also gave their reports. After the report of Aleksandr Gol who is the treasurer of the Association, there was a report by the audit committee, which was headed by Nadezhda Mokhova. Then the budget for the new year was approved.
Despite the inability to have the convention as it has been done before, life goes on. This type of “mini-convention” was able to take place during which we shared about what God is doing through us despite the limitations. We are grateful to God that even in our weaknesses, He demonstrates His power, and that is why all the glory and honor belongs to Him. We are unworthy servants, we have done that which we ought to have done, and He has multiplied that and blessed it. Even though we are forced to adjust the ways to minister, find new opportunities to share the Gospel, and fulfill the vision of the Association, the ministry of the Association cannot be stopped under any circumstances.
God expects us to be faithful in little. That means that we must identify and implement the principle of “two fish and five breads”, which Apostle Andrew saw before hand that the boy had. The result was thanks to God’s miraculous working of multiplication. We can also be witnesses of similar multiplication in the upcoming year!
