On March 10-14, 2021, a group of people went to a missions trip to Mexico to host a two-day camp for the local children. The group was made up of 30 members from the churches of two cities – Sacramento, California, and Salem, Oregon.
We were especially prayerful over crossing the border because we had quite a bit of supplies in humanitarian aid. When we paid the «tax» at the border, we continued our journey. In addition, there were also concerns over the weather. Miraculously, God has demonstrated to us that it is not our program which we spent significant amount of time developing, nor our efforts and finances, and not our efforts that resolve all issues. It is the Lord Himself who holds everything in His hands. The rain was for us a test of our faith. Every day, from the evening and until morning, the rain was pouring. However, in the morning, as soon as we approached the church, the clouds suddenly disappeared, the sun began to shine, and everything became warm and dry.
Praise God for His blessing and that we were able to get the attention of children and point them to the important truths through the biblical examples, skits, relay races, and games. This was also a great opportunity for the youth to fellowship and be an encouragement to the local church. Praise God!
