It was a great blessing for The Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church of San Diego to have children’s camp which took place on June 24-25 in one of the city’s parks. Pastor Yuriy Korniyenko said that he is very pleased to bring the truth of the Gospel to the children: “We have been organizing camps for the past fourteen years, and every year it brings great joy and blessing for both children and parents. This year we had about 65 children, 30 of which are from outside the church. I am grateful to the leaders and helpers. We have a great team”.
On the first day of camp, through the example of Samuel, the children were able to learn the importance to always tell the truth, and that the truth sets us free, and how they too could become the disciples of Christ.
On the second day, through the example of Zacchaeus, the children learned about the qualities of a true follower of Christ, and about how they need to act in light of the Bible and not be deceptive.
May these Bible passages guide them, and help them to firmly hold to the truth:
“Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, for we are members of one another” (Ephesians 4:25).
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16)
