Dear brothers and sisters,
We are now drawing closer to the decisive day in the life of our country when the future direction of America will be decided. Prophet Jeremiah wrote to the exiles in Babylon: “Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf; for in its welfare you will have welfare." (Jeremiah 29:7)
The outcome of the election will have a substantial effect on things like the right to use marijuana, the murders’ rights to live, raising of taxes, and etc. The election will also influence who will be members of the U.S. Supreme Court and much more.
I exhort you to pray to God for His mercy on our country which is on the one hand is wonderful, yet at the same time the one which is departing from Christian values on which it was founded. Pray that by the mercy of God, the peace, well-being, and the opportunity to freely proclaim Gospel and serve God would continue. America is our home, the present and the future of our children. My desire is that we would not remain indifferent. We should take an active role in expressing our Christian worldview in the election on November 8th.
Regardless of the election results, the King of kings and Lord of lords will reign on His throne. Even if the most experienced politicians are unable to predict, He already knows the results of the election. It is good to acknowledge that we belong to His Kingdom, which will not come to an end.
I exhort us to unite in fasting and prayer for America on November 7th.
