Yuliya Tsapko disappeared in Nikopol, Ukraine. She has been missing since August 4th 2013.
Last time she was seen at Baptist Church during the morning service. After that, some people saw her walking from church in the direction towards her home; however, Yuliya did not come back home…
Since that day, there wasn't any information about Yuliya, her location, or what happened when she was walking home from church.
Yuliya is a fervent Christian, who loves God and people. She has always been involved in various ministries to further the Kingdom of God. After she graduated from Tavriyskiy Christian Institute, she was working at the Institute managing student department. During her visits and temporary stay in California, United States, she was actively involved in the life and ministry of Grace Family Church. During the last year, she lived with her parents at Nikopol, Ukraine. There she participated the ministry for kids and teenagers through Christian Club for teenagers from secular families and Sunday School at the local Baptist Church.
The news about Yuliya’s disappearance shocked and greatly affected all of her family, relatives, friends, and acquaintances. Since Yuliya would not have left on her own, this case probably involves abduction. Despite numerous unanswered questions and difficult state of unknowingness, we trust in our God – His mercy, love, omniscience, and unconditional faithfulness and care for his church body and each individual member. We plead God to shine His light on this situation, to keep Yuliya safe in His hands, to return her home to her parents, and to glorify and lift up His powerful name as a testimony to all people.
We continue to believe that God’s promises stay true no matter what happens: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose… If God is for us, who can be against us?... Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Rom 8:28-37.
