On Saturday, April 1, the Power in Truth department hosted a training titled “How to Hear without a Preacher?” and served the people attending the session from California, Washington, and Florida.
The experienced missionaries who participated in both long-term and short-term projects shared their experiences and advices. The attendees, who were burning with a desire to share the gospel and were looking for opportunities do it, could hear about how they could join one of the mission teams in ministry. The training session was full of glory to God for what He does through His disciples, with lessons about what each disciple of Christ is called for. It also provided a lot of opportunities for the fellowship of friends.
Alik Yanovskiy and Jim Overton started off the event in their greeting, followed by 4 training sessions.
Yuriy Senchenko, Pastor of New Life Church in Washington taught a session: “Missionary: Coming Back to the Basics”, in which he developed the concept of a missionary and what is he called for.
In the second session, Yuriy Senchenko and Edward Salamatov shared their experience and vision in ministering in Mexico followed by an invitation to join them in serving in a neighboring country.
Konstantin Goncharov, pastor and leader in church planting ministry in south regions of Florida, taught a session on “Personal Evangelism” for all those who are ready to share the Gospel locally and internationally.
After lunch prepared by a team from Grace Family Church, Yuriy Senchenko taught a session on “Interactive Team Building” and about “How Can a Missionary Trip Prepare Us for Local Outreach.”
Team of the "Power in Truth" department answered the questions and shared the opportunities to join the teams that are planned for 2017 – see the "Power in Truth” website. Missionaries shared ideas as well as resources which can be used in ministry and which they can share with everyone who is interested. They offered help with questions through their Facebook page. This truly was a blessed time! We heard a lot of new information, learned the strategies of missionary ministry, and had a great fellowship!
