On May 13, I met with the Pacific Coast Baptist Association’s pastors in Tacoma, WA. The meeting was organized by a member of the Association’s Committee—Vasiliy Vasilyevich Stupin. It was a great time of introductions and fellowship.
Six churches of the Pacific Coast Baptist Association are located in this region. I shared about the life of the Association, as well as answered questions about the vision, priorities of the future ministry, effectiveness in ministering to the second and third generation of immigrants, as well as opportunities to share the Gospel with the local English-speaking population. I emphasized the importance of developing ministries in all regions of the Pacific Coast Association’s churches, as well as repeating the conferences and events that take place in the central region (Sacramento) among them in Washington as well.
Thanks to the modern technology, internet, and video broadcasting, the distance seems to be less significant. We are blessed that we live in such a time when we can easily share the news of our churches regardless of where they are located. We eagerly anticipate the news from the churches of the southern region, especially since we have a wonderful leader who is responsible for this region, Vasiliy Vasilyevich Stupin. I encouraged and motivated pastors to serve and remember that they are not alonen— they belong to one big family of 33 churches of the Pacific Coast Baptist Association. We love them, pray for them, and bless their service in the Evergreen State Washington.
