On a beautiful morning of January 25, over 120 women gathered together for the Good News Church Women’s Prayer Breakfast, an event that blended community, worship, and powerful moments of prayer. The room was filled with warmth, laughter, and a shared commitment to grow in faith as we spent the morning enjoying breakfast, engaging in meaningful fellowship, and uplifting one another in prayer.
The event began with a delicious breakfast, providing the perfect opportunity for the women to connect with one another. Afterward, we participated in a series of activities that deepened our sense of community and spiritual connection. One of the highlights of the morning was the time spent in prayer, where we not only prayed for one another but also partnered up with new prayer partners, reinforcing the bonds of faith and support that are so vital to our journey with Christ.
At each table, a prayer card was placed, representing specific areas of focus. Together, we prayed for the health and growth of our church, for our leaders, and for our nation. The prayer was also extended to the various ministries within our church, as well as the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, recognizing the importance of lifting up these global concerns in our collective prayers.
We were blessed to have guest speaker, Mariya Gusenkova, who shared an inspiring message titled “Jesus Above Everything.” Drawing from John 10:10, Mariya reminded us that Jesus came so that we might have life and have it abundantly. Her words encouraged us to find balance between our roles in the church, family, and work or school. She highlighted how finding freedom in God’s presence leads to true, abundant life, and how contentment, rather than comparison, is the key to lasting joy. Mariya’s message resonated deeply with everyone present, and her words sparked deep reflection during our table discussions.
As the morning continued, each table had the opportunity to reflect on Mariya’s message and share insights. The conversations were filled with encouragement, as women shared personal stories and built each other up in the faith.
To conclude this powerful morning, we gathered to pray over the urgent prayer requests submitted during the event. The atmosphere was one of unity, as we laid our concerns before the Lord, trusting that He hears and answers our prayers.
The Women’s Prayer Breakfast was a beautiful reminder of the strength found in community, the power of prayer, and the abundant life that Jesus offers. We left the event filled with renewed hope, deeper connections, and a commitment to place Jesus above all else in our lives.
