On March 25th, a week before the Resurrection celebration, Grace Avenue Bible Church had a special Worship Night during which they were commemorating the Bible events leading to the Resurrection. This was a service of worship and praise of the wonderful name of Christ in songs.
Praise God that the young brothers and sisters serve Jesus with their gifts. The youth is known for the energy, being lively and living a fast pace of life. Because the worship night was in English, the songs consisted of the contemporary American artists. At their core, these songs are dynamic and upbeat, and exhort worshippers to faith and action. These songs cannot just be “sung”, they must be felt through, and grasp the meaning of it.
The main goal of the evening of worship was to remind people the Gospel through songs. The realization of what the Lord did for us on the cross moved the hearts of the worship leaders and the participants to praise Him with joy. The more we understand the gift of grace, the more persistent and zealous we will be in our worship, and in all that we do.
During the evening of worship, the youth group of Rockland Church, the “Tree of Life” group, and the youth from the Grace Avenue Bible Church’s band took part in leading worship.
Gary Ball, one of the church’ pastor read passages from the Scriptures about the way of the cross of our Lord, about His crucifixion, the victory of Christ over death and the triumph of His resurrection. Deep reflections of the Word of God filled the hearts with gratitude and humility, as well as praise to God for His indescribable gift of salvation and the precious promises of the resurrection of the saints.
During the time of prayer, two young people committed themselves to the Lord.
We believe that these evenings are pleasant to God since He created us for His glory: “Sing to the LORD, praise His name; proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day!” (Psalm 96:2).
