On July 18, the Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church in Montebello held a pastors’ meeting of the southern region. It was attended by the representatives of the six churches located in the span of the San Diego region until Los Angeles.
Due to the restrictions set in place, the minimum and at the same time, the maximum amount of the men had the opportunity to listen to three seminars which were prepared by Anatoliy Ageyev, Igor Zhukov, and Ivan Mileyev. The topics covered three of the most important themes in the pastors’ lives: their tendency to despondency as was in the case of the prophet Elijah, the necessity of joint missionary training in expanding the Kingdom of God, as well as identifying the signs of the healthy church as is presented in the light of the Scriptures.
Ivan Mileyev gave updates on the current issues, which the Association is presently trying to resolve. After a delicious meal served by the brothers of the local church, the pastors stayed to pray together for each other, for the churches, as well as for the personal prayer needs that the brothers shared. That is why the Association exists, so that at a time that is the most difficult for us, we could have a sense of belonging as one family, where the participation, support, and care for one another can be felt, and where the sense of the brotherhood is expressed.
Ivan Mileyev.
