On July 12, the Word of Life Baptist Church had a celebration service during which the office of the head pastor passed from David Khadzhiyev to Dmitriy Kruts. For such occasions, the American churches has a special church service called “Pastoral Installation Service”.
The time comes when the baton needs to be passed to the next “runner” in the ministry race. During the service of this exchange, there was much gratitude expressed to David Khadzhiyev who has faithfully served the church for many years, as well as the time of prayer and dedication to ministry for the new senior pastor, Dmitriy Semyonovich Kruts. Some special guests were invited to attend and be a part of this celebration: the representative of the SBC, R. Lewis, Dan Schmidt who is a pastor of the local American church, Pastor Anatoliy Ageyev, as well as Ivan Mileyev as the representatives of the Pacific Coast Association of Churches of ECB.
The service was very well organized and felt to go by surprisingly quickly. Four preachers preached for 15 minutes each. At the end of the service, after the prayer of dedication of Dmitriy Semyonovich, he was presented with a certificate for pastoral ministry, as well as flowers, and memorable presents to brother David and his wife Lydia as a sign of gratitude for their sacrifice and dedication in the many years of ministry to the local church.
