The representatives of the Associations of ECB churches in America who are in charge of the organization of the missionary congress had their meeting on February 19. The main question of the meeting was when and where will the International Missionary Congress take place. After a lot of thinking and deliberation, everyone came to a unanimous decision to have it on May 20-22 of 2022 in Sacramento, CA.
There is just so much unknown in the current 2021 due to the limitations for international travel and other restrictions related to the pandemic. We are hopeful that 2022 will bring more clarity. However, the theme of the conference will remain the same. We would also like to keep the same speakers as well. For those who registered for the conference already, that registration will remain valid, and registration will soon be open for those who did not get a chance to register yet.
The theme and the goals of the congress will remain unchanged since the current theme appears to be even more needed in light of the circumstances that we are in. The coming of the Lord is near, and He expects us to be more active in fulfilling The Great Commission!
The new date of the congress is easy to remember: May 20-22, 2022.
