A prayer evening for the women, organized by the Moms in Prayer ministry department, was held on September 10 at the Bryte Church. About fifty women gathered to glorify the Lord and pray for their children and grandchildren.
The head of the department, Olga Drovorub, spoke about the relevance of the ministry: “Each time at the beginning of the school year, mothers around the world pray for their sons and daughters, for schools and teachers, and for the spread of Christian values in the field of education in the United States. Our movement exists in more than 40 countries. We call on women to unite, to stand as intercessors for the future of their children.”
Each meeting has a specific theme; this time they talked about God’s attribute that He is Light. The Lord is our Light - this theme was reflected in every address and every song. All guests and speakers built their speeches around this topic. All elements of prayer: glorification, confession, thanksgiving and intercession were also subject to the theme of light. So, this time the mothers prayed:
- For revival and spiritual awakening in schools.
- For the protection of teachers and students from all evil.
- So that the schools of our city, state, and country would be saturated by
- For the protection and expansion of the "Moms in Prayer" Ministry
The main speaker was Yelena Mileeva, head of the women's ministry of the Association. She spoke about the different factors that must be taken into account in order to be a godly wife and mother. She also exhorted the ladies to pray for the children by going to specific passages from the Scriptures. In addition to a small dinner, the women were treated to sweets and tea.
So let your light shine before people, so that they see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven. Matt. 5:16
